UNK Tennis (Friday): #36 Lopers Fall to #29 Mocs, 4-3

UNK on the Road Again Next Weekend

Kearney, Neb. – The 29th-ranked Florida Southern Moccasins took the doubles point and won a third-set breaker at number five singles to down 36th-ranked Nebraska Kearney, 4-3, Friday evening in Lakeland. FSC improves to 11-2 while the Lopers (9-8) went 1-1 on Spring Break with two cancelations. The Mocs allowed just six combined points in doubles and then won in straight sets at number six and number one. Mexican junior lefty Jazmin Zamorano got UNK on the board at number two (7-6, 1-6, 6-3) with Madagascar sophomore Narindra Ranaivo doing the same at number three (6-2, 2-6, 6-1). However, Florida Southern's Isabella Bolivar clinched things at number five (7-6, 6-7, 6-0). Finally, Colorado sophomore Alexis Bernthal won at number four. UNK heads to Kansas next weekend to face Newman and Emporia State.
